Palatine, Illinois

This new educational facility provides a welcoming and sustainable environment for young learners in Chicago’s northwest suburbs. The three-story “house” design encourages a smooth transition to the outside world for children accustomed to being at home. Integrated sustainable features, including a geothermal system, water harvesting, and locally sourced natural materials, earned the school a LEED Gold certification, while also serving as a tool to teach students about conservation.
