Experiencing 100 years of Bauhaus

Updated: Feb 7

I had the privilege of going to Germany and immersing myself in the 100-year celebration of Bauhaus. I was mesmerized, and at the same time, it made me appreciate the influence that Bauhaus had in creating our modern world and making it more functional and livable. It's impressive that the lessons Bauhaus taught about the quality of natural light, efficient use of space and designing for the modern man 100 years ago are still relevant today and have been taken to the next level of interpretation for the digital world. Aesthetics aside, they taught about social responsibility and inexpensive but innovative, functional materials. I am encouraged and inspired to keep thinking creatively and continue to push designs beyond the status quo!
