KEHILAT CHOVEVEI TZION SYNAGOGUE
Skokie, IL

We designed a contemporary expression of Jewish symbolism and spirituality for this Skokie community synagogue. The facility is tailored to equitably meet the separate needs of the congregation’s Ashkenazi and Sephardic members under the same roof. Composed of limestone (Jerusalem stone) and featuring high ceilings and windows, the synagogue interior is bathed in daylight, creating a bright but calm and welcoming atmosphere for congregants and their families. Open, flexible spaces and a commercial kitchen accommodate a wide array of community functions.
