We designed this six-bedroom home in Highland Park to respond directly to its extraordinary blufftop setting and the dense forest around it. Diagonally oriented to preserve views and trees, the home is a sculptural blend of salvaged brick, metal, and glass. The exterior reflects the clients’ taste for minimalism, with clean lines and refined materials. Inside, the layout breaks into distinct volumes to reduce the home's scale, while extensive glazing and a generous 16-foot-wide entrance with canopy connect the house to its stunning natural surroundings.
