A minimalistic design concept takes advantage of the densely wooded land surrounding this proposed single-story, single-family home, bringing the outside in. We designed a breathtaking floating canopy roof as the focal point for what was envisioned as a simple white stucco house. The wing-shaped roof was fashioned as a large overhang, which would allow it to collect rain to irrigate the land while providing shade for a potential outdoor room. Expansive windows were planned to maximize views and light, allowing the living experience to expand beyond the boundaries of the architecture.
