CANAAN VISION COMMUNITY CENTER

Glenview, IL

This multi-purpose center provides a useful resource to the community as well as a striking addition to the neighborhood. We created long, low rooflines to reduce the impression of height. Building walls incorporate pilasters to break up the large dimensions. The design creates a play of light and shadow which makes the center appear less massive. Transparent glass corners also reduce the overall building mass and flood the interior spaces with light.
